Well, he didn't know at this time that a country was going to bomb and kill thousands of his citizens. There was a reason he went over and said, "stop it!"
The biggest question here is, why did they attack us? Is it because we are free? Rich? White? Christian? No. It is because we have been in the middle east telling them how to run there lives for the past 50+ years. What if the Chinese were in our country and had bases all around our borders?
I don't condone any terrorism, and I absolutely agree going after those who attacked us. But a few things didn't happen as they should:
1st: The Constitution states that only Congress is able to declare war. The president does not have that power.
2nd: We didn't go after those responsible (they were from Saudi Arabia). Rather we invaded Iraq.
3rd: Bringing democracy to Iraq is nation building. We should set an example, not force nations to do what we know to be good.
I love my country, I support the troops, but I don't believe we should be in the business of nation building and policing the world.
